Rachel and Maryline, from the Alport Research Hub, attended the Kidney Research UK ‘Driving Discoveries’ conference in Leeds. It was a wonderful opportunity to see the amazing research being funded by Kidney Research UK and talk to fellow researchers.

There was a lot of interest in the experimental systems we have to study genetic variants of uncertain significance in both collagen and other basement membrane genes.

Rachel and Maryline also had the opportunity to meet patients and tell them about our work and to hear what they would like to see come from this research.
