Compassion and Care: Emotions and Experience in the Care of Children through History
The John Rylands Research Institute and Library, Manchester
23-24 March 2023
- An interdisciplinary conference bringing together researchers working on care
experience, including historians, sociologists, social workers and care organisations
(online and in-person). - A drop-in collections encounter led by curators on the histories of care revealed in
documents, photographs and objects from the John Rylands archives. - A public roundtable discussing new directions in the history of care.
