How we use your information

Please take some time to read and consider this information.

Before you can enrol onto a Eurolens Research clinical study, we need to collect some information from you so we can assess your suitability for our studies in general, send you details of specific studies that you may be eligible for, and create a file for you on our volunteer database. Information includes your contact details, and information about yourself, your general health and your vision. Some of the information that we ask for is classified as personal identifiable information.

We may collect this information from you via an online questionnaire, over email or during a phone call or face-to-face meeting with one of the Eurolens Research team. Any information you provide will be stored on a secure database and used by us only for the purposes outlined above. We will not share this information with any third parties. We send study details by email and SMS messaging. Any information transcribed onto the Eurolens Research database will be deleted from the original source e.g. an online questionnaire.

If you go on to take part in a clinical study with us, you will be provided with a Participant Information Sheet that outlines what data will be collect from you during the study and how it will be used, and you will be required to sign a consent form at the start of the study.

By providing your information for our study recruitment purposes, you are not obliged to take part in any studies and you can unsubscribe from our communications at any time by emailing the word ‘UNSUBSCRIBE’ to eurolens@manchester.ac.uk. We will retain your details unless you request that we remove them.
