Parenting and Deaf Children

Commissioned by NDCS in 2003, this project consisted of a critical literature review of the research at the time on parenting and deaf children followed by a survey of over 1300 parents who responded to questions about their experiences of parenting deaf children, what they found helpful and services and support they would have appreciated access to but which were unavailable.

This study took place before the introduction of universal newborn hearing screening in the UK
