Short Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (SWEMWBS) in BSL

At the time of this study, there were no validated measures of positive mental well-being suitable for Deaf people who use British Sign Language.

This study’s aims were to translate the original English version of SWEMWBS into BSL and to test the SWEMWBS BSL with the Deaf, sign-language using population in the UK. An examination of SWEMWBS BSL psychometric properties and establishing its validation and reliabilities have been carried out.
