The effects of ‘long COVID’.

New Scientist [p12] cites research by Dr Verena Kaestele and Prof Tracy Hussell, which found that in some COVID-19 patients, 90% of their white blood cells were of a type called neutrophils. It is suggested that the production of immature neutrophils could be a contributing factor in both severity of disease and the effects of ‘long COVID’.
