Research Clinical Audiology Papers (Research CAPers) conference to honour Dave Moore’s retirement
Manchester Centre for Audiology and Deafness (ManCAD) is hosting a Research Clinical Audiology Papers conference on Monday 16 September and Tuesday 17 September 2024.
We have intentionally planned this for the week leading up to WCA so that those travelling to Europe from elsewhere can attend both meetings.
- Our Research CAPers conference will take place over two days. It will focus on finding clinical solutions to current audiological needs.
- Researchers, audiologists, early career scientists, and students with an interest in clinical audiology are encouraged to attend.
- While Research CAPers is to honour Dave Moore’s contribution to hearing science, it is also an opportunity for those conducting clinical hearing research to present their work in a supportive collegial setting.
There will be Podium presentations, Round-table discussions, A career mentoring session, and an informal evening poster session at a local arts centre.
Invited speakers include:
- Astrid van Wieringen, KU Leuven, Belgium
- Cas Smits, Amsterdam University Medical Centre, Netherlands
- Charlie Liberman, Harvard Medical School, USA
- De Wet Swanepoel, University of Pretoria, South Africa
- Kevin Munro, ManCAD, University of Manchester, UK
- Lisa Hunter, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, USA)
- Melanie Ferguson, Curtin University, Australia
- Piers Dawes, University of Queensland, Australia
- Dave Moore (of course!), ManCAD, University of Manchester, UK and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, USA
