Do you want to be a Student Representative?

Register your interest by the 11th October!

Every year we need volunteers to come forward to be the voice of the students on their programme of study.

There are lots of reasons you may wish to become a Student Rep. A Student Rep helps improve the experience of their peers by liaising between students and staff on matters of mutual interest of concern.

Student Reps are really important in providing a two-way feedback on the quality of units, programmes and teaching and providing advice and information to students or referring them to the Students’ Union or other areas of the University.”

Teaching and Learning team

Full training is provided by the Students’ Union and you’ll receive ongoing support from the teaching and learning team in the School. You could be awarded the HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Award) at the end of your post, and get the chance to be nominated for “Student Rep of the Year” in the Union and NUS Awards. Not only will this be a brilliant opportunity to work towards delivering real change on your course, but it is the sort of invaluable experience employers will be looking for on job applications.

There is no election process in SALC so if you are interested and think you will make a good student representative, please get in touch with your Programme Director or email salcstudents@manchester.ac.uk directly before the 11th October 2019.
