Teaching Excellence Awards

These awards recognise colleagues who have demonstrated a significant and sustained commitment to teaching, learning and the student academic experience. All academic and related colleagues involved in the delivery of UG or PGT teaching or academic student support are eligible to be nominated.

Winners receive a £5000 grant to be used to develop teaching and learning activities or support their own career development.

Submissions are sent to the Faculty, shortlisted and then submitted to an institutional panel.

Once information becomes available regarding the nominations process and deadlines, this will be circulated to School Directors of Teaching and Learning and Heads of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience. (In 2018-19 the University published information about the awards process in March with a deadline for Schools to submit nominations to the Faculty by 25th April 2019.)
