On 24 April, 20 people made up of researchers, policymakers and practitioners working on environment and development issues attended a half-day workshop organised by the project team.

The aim of the workshop was to discuss the links between research, environment and development policy in the Maldives, and research uptake/impact.

A number of lively discussions took place on topics ranging from critical thinking and curiosity-driven research to the role of research doctorates in career development.
