by | Apr 29, 2021 | News | 0 comments

In March and April this year, Melbourne University Research Assistant and University of Queensland PhD student Merewalesi Yee visited two coastal communities on Viti Levu, Fiji: Togoru and Nabaka. Both villages have been facing increased challenges associated with coastal change including tidal inundation and erosion, as well as increased instances of waste washing up along the shore. Preliminary findings from this research detailing these changes and challenges, along with ways communities are adapting, are explored in this presentation.
