IAT offers opportunities to engage in research and academic training at different stages of your clinical training.
Choose the correct pathway for you from the options below.
Academic Clinical Lecturers (ACLs)
ACLs combine teaching and research responsibilities with a position practicing in their specialist field.
Academic Clinical Fellows (ACFs)
An ACF is a specialised training post combined with academic work.
Specialised Foundation Programme
Qualified doctors can develop their skills in research and/or teaching, along with their medical expertise.
Undergraduate
An intercalated degree gives medical students the opportunity to study an area of medical research in depth in Year 3 or 4 of their MBChB.
