Ardwick Climate Action – Climate Event 2023

by mdehxaba | Oct 4, 2023 | News, Public Engagement | 0 comments

The Becker participated in Ardwick Climate Action’s Community Bulb Planting and Climate Action Event, held in Ardwick on the 1st of October.

At the Becker stand attendees could test their breathing via our Lung Station, play Splat the Virus! and visualise air pollution with specialist monitoring devices.

We were also joined by colleagues from the Manchester Museum and representatives from Manchester City Council.

The bulb planting was a fantastic success, with close to 15,000 bulbs planted over the course of the afternoon.

Ardwick Climate Action works to protect the local environment through grassroots advocacy that engages the local community.

This includes rewilding green spaces, monitoring pollution levels and climate advocacy that serves to benefit the local community.
