What happens if I withdraw?

If you decide to withdraw from the trial, please notify your hospital or the REMORA2 team by email at remora2@manchester.ac.uk. Once a withdrawal notification has been received, you will be sent an email to acknowledge your withdrawal.

We will retain any data you have provided so far, unless you specifically request that all your data is removed via a reply email. Please note, it will not be possible to remove your data from the study once it has been anonymised (i.e. when all personal identifiers have been removed), as we will not be able to identify your specific data. This does not affect your data protection rights.

We will keep extracting a small amount of information from your medical record. This includes your healthcare use, recent disease activity and the medicines you take. We will extract this for each doctor’s visit until the date we expected you to finish the trial. After that date, we will not extract any more information from your record.

You do not need to provide anything yourself. A member of the clinical team at your hospital will gather this information for us. The study team at The University of Manchester will not have access to your full medical records. The information extracted is for the purpose of the REMORA2 study only. It will form part of the research data set, which may be accessed by individuals for audit purposes and shared with other researchers if you agreed to this when you joined the study.

If you have any queries about the data we extract from your medical record, please contact us.
