Seminar Series: upcoming seminars

Due to the pandemic, as with most events, we have had to move onto the virtual platform.

To replace some face-to-face teaching and events, we have launched our Seminar Series covering occupational and environmental health-related topics.

This series invites academics and other experts from The University of Manchester and beyond to give an interactive session with our THOR reporters and COEH students and colleagues.

The series is not open to the public and is therefore an exclusive perk for THOR reporters. Seminar sessions run for around one hour and generally involve a presentation with recent data and research, followed by a Q&A session.

The Seminar Series successfully launched in December 2020, with the first seminar by Prof Frank de Vocht being attended by approximately 50 students, THOR reporters and COEH colleagues.

If you are a THOR reporter and were unable to attend the seminar, please contact us and we can send you a link to the recording.

Please see below a list of the next few seminars in the series. Details, including links for registration, will be sent out a few weeks prior to the seminar date.

  • Seminar Series: Pierluigi Cocco (Tuesday 16 February 2021, 16:00)
  • Seminar Series: Anli Zhou (Monday 22nd February 2021, 16:00)

If you are a THOR reporter and wish to attend these seminars, please keep an eye on your inbox for registration information.

If you have not received the details for registration one week before the seminar date, please contact us for the link and to confirm we have your up-to-date contact details.
