Last week, on 22/02/21, we held a seminar with Anli Zhou exploring her PhD work about burnout in junior doctors, another brilliant talk! This was the 4th in our Seminar Series, which seems to be proving very popular so far.

Anli spoke about the increasing pressures on the NHS pre-COVID and how the pandemic has caused additional issues. All of these mounting burdens have a huge impact on the mental health and wellbeing of healthcare workers. The project Anli is running is called “DEStress: Determinants & Effects of Stress in junior doctors”. This PhD project focusses on junior doctors and is the main focus of the seminar, Anli discusses some preliminary results and the methods she has used to conduct research thus far.
