National authorities

You can find information on national authorities responsible for setting the legislation and local requirements regarding food safety and food allergy.

The British and Australian guidelines are good examples, as they are the most comprehensive. Australia was one of the first countries to develop and recommend the use of an allergen risk assessment tool to harmonise the application of allergen precautionary labelling with the Voluntary Incidental Trace Allergen Labelling (VITAL) initiative.

Please note, this is not an exhaustive list of all national food authorities in the world. Contact us if you have any corrections, additions and updates.
