Housing and Living Well with Dementia: from Policy to Practice in Greater Manchester
Healthy homes and neighbourhoods can build bonds between neighbours, reduce social isolation and loneliness, promote wellbeing, and prevent physical and mental ill health.
In late 2021, the Healthy Ageing Research group teamed up with Dementia United (within the GM NHS Integrated Care Board) to publish a report reflecting 18 months of consultation with stakeholders from across housing, health and social care, people living with dementia, carers and loved ones.
The report highlights seven recommendations that together can help improve the lives of people living with dementia, carers and loved ones in Greater Manchester.
