Congratulations to our trainees!

The ICAT team would like to congratulate the following past and present trainees on their recent successes.

Thomas Shanahan, ACF Emergency Medicine, has had a paper published on an external validation of a Dutch prediction model for identifying major trauma patients.

Dr Taha Lodhi, ACF Clinical Oncology, has had a paper published on Hypoxia and it’s modification in bladder cancer.

Dr Fiona Wilson, ACF Clinical Oncology, has been awarded a CRUK Clinical Training Research fellowship for her PhD within Manchester Cancer Research Centre.

Dr Stephanie Worton, ACL Obstetrics and Gynaecology, has had a paper published titled Kynurenine relaxes arteries of normotensive women and those with preeclampsia in Circulation Research (available online ahead of print). This work was undertaken during Stephanie’s ACF, PhD and completed during her ACL, in collaboration with colleagues in the Maternal and Fetal Health Research Centre and the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences

Hannah Durrington, former ACL Respiratory Medicine, has been awarded MRC-Clinician Scientist Fellowship, Rhythms in Disease- Determining Circadian Clock Mechanism in Asthma.
