
Semester 2 support session in the Main Library
One-to-one online appointments launched for Specialist Library Support (SLS) & My Learning Essentials (MLE)
The Library now offers one-to-one MLE and SLS support with experienced staff on a wide range specialist areas including Advanced searching, Business data, Copyright, and Referencing support. In addition to this, the library also offers one-to-one online appointments as an alternative if you are a distance, online or blended learning student or you are unable to come into the Library.
An appointment can be booked Monday to Friday, 9.30am–4.30pm (UK time). To request an appointment please email us on uml.teachingandlearning@manchester.ac.uk or call on 0161 275 3508. If you would like to book an online appointment, please state this in your request.
The timetable for the Library’s My Learning Essentials March workshops is below; and don’t forget to check out all of the MLE support that is available throughout Semester Two! In addition to workshops and online resources, there are Library drop-ins at 12-1 every Wednesday in either the Main Library Ground Floor Event Space or the AGLC – please check the My Learning Essentials website for details.

The Careers Service are piloting drop-in sessions in the Main Library Wellbeing space this semester.
The Careers team will be on hand to answer any career questions that students have. Students from all years and degree subjects are welcome to drop-in and have a chat with Careers Consultants and members of the Employment Engagement Team. The team will pass on details of how the Careers Service can help, how to access advice and information on the Manchester Talent Programme and Student Experience Internships.
