Tell us about your research?

My broad research interest is in improving the early detection of vulval cancer in women at high risk. This includes a population study to determine the risk of vulval cancer in lichen sclerosus, lichen planus and VIN and an intervention study to support vulval self-examination.

What is the best thing about being an ACL?

Having protected time to develop a research interest and being able to build on a project from an idea to implementation.

What is the hardest thing about being an ACL?

Balancing the clinical and academic training. In particular, managing to develop surgical skills.

What do you do to relax, outside of work?

Before COVID-19 I travelled. More recently, I enjoy gardening and DIY.
