Educational Material

In 2023, we will be developing curricular material for primary schools in Talcahuano.

These lesson plans will make use of the game, comic, illustrated book, and documentary from the project, focusing on the message of local resilience that the older people of Talcahuano have taught us. We are working with the Ministry of Education in the region and local school leaders and teachers to develop this material in a way that is easy for teachers to use.

As much as memories of disaster are important to record, the aim of this project is not simply to document experiences. The key emphasis of this educational material is its future orientation: communicating lessons about resilience and how to prepare for future disasters.
