Longitudinal changes in proportionate mortality due to COVID-19 by occupation in England and Wales
This study aimed to describe the proportion of deaths from Covid-19 in a range of occupational groups, how those proportions compare to a ‘non-essential’ worker group, and whether the proportionate odds have changed over the pandemic (January 2020 – October 2021), in England and Wales.
This paper, published in the Scandinavian Journal of Work, Environment and Health, by PROTECT Theme 3 researchers presents evidence that some occupations such as taxi drivers have continued to have a relatively higher proportion of Covid-19 deaths over the course of the pandemic
