Anti-Bullying Policy

In the 2018 Athena SWAN staff survey a number of staff commented that they were NOT aware of the Dignity at Work and Study Policy and of the ‘We Get It’ campaign against harassment and discrimination. Free comments in the surveys reported a few cases of staff experiencing or witnessing harassment or bullying as well as not knowing who they could discuss such matters with. At the School Board last June, Greg Pass (HR partner for SHS) discussed the various approaches that an individual could take depending on what level of action they wanted. Further to this, we are pleased to now include an extremely helpful flow chart created by Patrick Johnson and EDI team that will help guide individuals through possible support pathways. As a School we do not want there to be ANY cases of bullying, harassment or discrimination and we hope that this added guidance will aid in reporting any such unacceptable behaviour.

The flow chart can be accessed via: https://apps.bmh.manchester.ac.uk/applications/announcements/AnnouncementFiles/UFT3X7nHe0iWGCWTggimCQ/DAWS-Process-Flow-V2a.pdf
