True alt text can’t currently be added to images in VoiceThread, however, you can add an alt text description to the description box.

Adding a New Image

1. Once you’ve added media to your presentation, you’ll be presented with an overview of slides before publishing. Click on the Slide Options icon.

2. From the slide options pop up select the Edit icon.

3. Add your alt text in the Slide Description text box.

4. Click Save. You can now publish your VoiceThread as usual.

Updating an Existing Image

1. Open your VoiceThread and click on the Menu icon in the top-left corner.

2. Select Edit from the drop down.

3. Select the Edit icon in the slide preview.

4. Add your alt text in the Slide Description text box.

5. Click Save. You can now publish your VoiceThread as usual.
