Yesterday (24 June 2020), a CARLA researcher, Jamille Dias, participated in a webinar, “Extracting Us: Creative engagements on the front lines”, with, among others, Brazilian Indigenous artists Denilson Baniwa, Edgar Xakriabá and Jaider Esbell. In this online collaborative exhibition and conversation, artists-activists-scholars shares their experiences of carrying out “creative practices [that] are central to activism on the front lines of resistance against forces that are changing the skin of the planet”.
